Clear approach to developing training
TRANSPORT LEARNING ran for 32 months, from May 2011 to December 2013. The project followed a clear approach to develop and implement its training and to make the most use its outcomes to ensure a long-term effect:
- All work was based on the creation of the training concept and materials tailored to the needs of the training regions
- This concept and materials were used to carry out two day long technical training modules
- In total, 64 training modules were held over a period of one year
- Immediately after each module, the trainees began their practical exercise (mini-project) which allowed them to apply the knowledge gained to their own area of work
Site visits, demonstrating best practise examples in Bolzano and Graz, supported the implementation of the mini-projects by raising awareness and interest amongst decision makers and politicians from the trainees’ municipalities.
The final months of the project were used to safeguard the long-term positive effect of the project's training: during this time TRANSPORT LEARNING promoted the uptake of its training concept and materials by universities and training organisations.
